Some films, TV shows, personalities are so egregiously appalling one is almost hynotised into watching. On visits to Canada I have had the misfortune to have heard/seen Tucker Carlson and consider that his hectoring,bullying,loud-mouthed, overbearing red-neckery places him deeply into that category. The fact he occupies such a high-profile position is a disgrace. (There - I'm lecturing AND moralising!)

Great to see these CNN'ers on the run for a change. However it was painful to watch a battle of wits where two of the combattants are unarmed.

John Stewart says the things the average person thinks but is afraid to be honest about in the present political climate. It is amazing to many of us Canadians that after watching George Bush for even half an hour, half (arguable) of your voters gave him the presidency. Bush is a spoiled, rich, daddy's boy who screwed up everything he ever touched, he shirked his military duty...and you made him President. As president he has alienated the entire civilized world, and jeapordized the effectiveness of the United Nations. John Kerry may have human faults but he is a self made man who succeeded at everything he ever put himself into and served his country with distinction. This election is between a respectable, intellectual, thinking man and a dumb as a box of nails, piss-ant tyrant. Now.. to the polls, and remember, people get the government they deserve.

Jon Stewart helps us to see yet another side of the ridiculousness of political coverage of today. How did Carlson ever even GET this job? Dems and liberals have to work to get thinking, interesting political shows on the air. Air America is a good start, but TV media is by far right-leaning, and we can't get our voices heard. Way to go Jon! Don't stop "holding their feet to the fire!!

I was riveted by this Crossfire video--Jon Stewart is one of the bravest entertainers in the media today. I commend him on his honesty and his candor. Actually, my favorite bit wasn't the "dick" part but the part when he told them both to "stop destroying America." Thank you Jon!

It was so refreshing to watch an intelligent, honest speaker on CNN for a change. I'll bet the farm that it will never happen again. I'm sad that I missed the live show and had to find the clip on the net but that's what happens when you stop watching that thing that makes you think you are sick or inadequate or that you need to be medicated constantly. Crossfire does more to fuel the rage between semi-thinking Americans than voting someone into the White House who will invade a country on false pretenses. Kudos Jon, I would love to see you, Michael Moore and myself take over the world one day so that we can stop the government and big business from polluting the planet, pillaging resources and making us work for nothing. We should all be farmers! beacuse all that matters is taking good care of this earth, ourselves and each other. Amen.
