The Iraq War Exposed

This is something that I came up with in February 2004. I kept seeing articles where it was this reason or that for the Iraq invasion but no one really considered all the facts and instead concentrated on just a few. There is a bigger picture in all this than what has been thus told. Think of this as being prescient at the time, now most all of this is common knowledge. The bottom line is the administration and the media Lied to you all to push for this war and it worked, now they are doing the same thing to get the attack on Iran going.

If George W. Bush had announced, prior to invading Iraq, that his motive was to seize control of Iraq's oil, to enhance Israel's power or to ensure U.S. military dominance of the Middle East, none of these justifications would have satisfied the public.

Hence the need for a cover story, something sufficiently alarming to convince Americans there was an urgent need to go to war. Claims that Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein harboured weapons of mass destruction seemed the best bet.

"The President's [George W. Bush's] decision to ignore intelligence community assessments prior to the Iraq war and to make repeated public statements that gave the misleading impression that Saddam Hussein's regime was connected to the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 cost him any credibility he may have had on this issue." -- Carl Levin, U. S. Senator (D, MI)

"The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the 'devil' only in order to drive the TV watcher to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the US . . ." -- Former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook

Just Foreign Policy Iraqi Death Estimator

When Congress passed the authorization for the use of force in Iraq, it included two requirements. In order to activate the authorization, President Bush had to prove that Iraq was in defiance of the United Nations by being in possession of banned weapons of mass destruction. President Bush was also required to show a link between Iraq and 9-11. In his letter of transmittal of March 18. 2003, President Bush claims to have met both requirements. We now know that in both cases President Bush was lying. Iraq did not have banned weapons of mass destruction. Furthermore, even Bush has admitted that Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11.

Therefore, since Bush did NOT in fact have proof of the required conditions to activate the Congressional Authorization for the use of force, the authorization is not legally in effect.

Therefore, the war is illegal. There is no legal nor moral justification for it.

Mohammed ElBaradei reported to the United Nations Security Council on Feb. 14, 2003, that "We have, to date, found no evidence of ongoing prohibited nuclear or nuclear-related activities in Iraq." The United States and Britain insisted that their intelligence said otherwise, Iraq was duly invaded, and nobody even apologized when no "prohibited nuclear or nuclear-related activities" were found. Yet it goes on and on. In 2006 the dems were voted in to Stop the war but as soon as that happened, Pelosi stated impeachment is now off the table and has since keep the war funding up in order to continue the devastation of that country.

Maj. General Smedley Butler termed it "War is a Racket." What he meant is that the government is kept and controlled by the large corporations that funnel a small amount of money -- tantamount to the 30 pieces of silver -- to cronies in CONgress and the government which then vote or allow the peoples military to do their bidding. It has been happening for well over a hundred years. President Eisenhower termed it the "Military Industrial Complex" and this includes the main stream media for none of this could of happened if they instead did their jobs and reported the truth instead of filling the airwaves and papers with useless fluff and placations.

In addition to all the lives lost -- well over a Million -- there is this thing called a bill. Wars are not paid for in war time, the bill comes later. In this case we have been paying for it from the immense increase in gas and fuel costs which will impact everything you buy but at a delayed rate. When the Iraq war started, oil was just $26.00 a barrel. The single largest user of oil in the U.S. is the military estimated at 30% of all usage. When you add a 30% demand to our current requirements then the cost goes up. Supply and demand. Forget the 500 billion cost being waved from the talking heads on the tube, the true actual cost is now estimated to be over 2 Trillion dollars when you add in the replacement costs for equipment and the long term care for all the wounded soldiers.

The Nuremberg Tribunal declared that "To initiate a war of aggression . . . is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole."

"It does not matter if the war is not real, or when it is, victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continous...The war is waged by the ruling group against its subjects." -- George Orwell - 1984

Stated reasons:

  1. Iraq supposedly had known WMD that was not accounted for - We will never know about the accounting because the US got the first copy of the Iraq report which was 11,800 pages and removed over 8000 pages then released the remaining 3500 to the world. US Illegally Removes Pages from Iraq UN Report, America tore out 8000 pages of Iraq dossier, Can You Imagine?: Hussein Was Right & Bush Was Wrong - It is now known there is no WMD. The CIA tried to plant some WMD but all 100 in that crew were killed by friendly fire - supposedly from a stray cruise missile or a combination of missiles and bombs that went astray.

  2. Saddam was involved with 9/11 as stated over and over by Bush, Powell, Rumsfeld and Rice - Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. Yet as of Feb 28, 06 Almost 90% of US soldiers in Iraq think war is retaliation for Saddam’s role in 9/11.

  3. Saddam was an imminent threat, 45 minutes to a Mushroom Cloud - We are more than 93 miles from him, which was the limit of his missiles. He had 1 balsa wood plane with a 7 foot wingspan - chills...

  4. Saddam and Al-Qaida were in cahoots - They never were, Saddam was secular and they could not stand each other.

  5. Aluminum tubes for Uranium enrichment - they were for rocket body's and were ok under the sanctions.

  6. Among the claims used to buttress the case for invading Iraq was the claim that Iraq had tried to purchase 500 tons of Uranium Oxide, called "Yellow Cake", from Niger. Tony Blair included the claim in his notorious "Dodgy Dossier", for which he later apologized. President Bush highlighted the"Yellow Cake" uranium in his State of the Union Speech January 28th, 2003 promoting his invasion plans.

Then it turned out that the documents supposedly proving the sale or the uranium were forgeries. Not only that, they were BAD forgeries, and the I.A.E.A. stated that the forgeries were so obvious that it would be impossible to miss the fact of the forgery by anyone carrying out a close examination of the documents.

  7. Saddam gassed 5000 Kurds in 1988 - he did not, according to the CIA the Iranians killed them in a battle with Saddam. They died from a cyanide-based gas, which Iraq did not possess at the time. g2mil.com/Dec2003.htm, US Army War College: NO PROOF SADDAM GASSED THE KURDS!, Google search. The US supplied most of the WMD to Saddam during the 70's and 80's. The US also sold WMD to Iran during that same time thus making money from them both and letting/inciting them to kill each other.

  8. The world was even shown where the WMD's were on the map. We were told that the smoking gun could come at any time in the form of a mushroom cloud or a cloud of toxic biological or chemical weapons. Does anyone remember duct tape and plastic sheeting? It was all made up to scare to crap out of the American public and CONgress in order to get the was going where Profits rise above all else. Just pure War Profiteering.

  9. Saddam is a bad guy.

etc... all Lies except for the last one however he was our bad guy/puppet put there, instructed, paid and supplied with weapons by the US. For all the reasons given: In the infamous words of Paul Wolfowitz, "WMD became the reason upon which we could all bureaucratically agree." It is easy to declare, as the president often does on the campaign trail, "The world is a safer place with Saddam Hussein in jail," but recent reports and actions on the ground contradict that notion. This is one of the great deceits that is being perpetuated on the American public and the world; That this occupation is to fight terrorism: If we don't fight terrorism in Iraq then we will have to fight it on our streets. In fact, terrorist attacks have skyrocketed in Iraq and all over the world. So much so, that the State Department has stopped compiling the statistics and quit issuing the yearly terrorism report.

The evidence is overwhelming, compelling, and alarming that George and his indecent bandits traitorously had intelligence fabricated to fit their goal of invading Iraq. The criminals foisted a Lie of Historic Proportions on the world. It was clear to many of us more aware people that George, Condi, Rummy, the two Dicks: Cheney and Perle, Wolfie, and most effectively and treacherously, Colin Powell, lied their brains out before the invasion. Now, Bush and his co-conspirators are still trying to claim that all the mis-statements about Iraq were "honest" mistakes, intelligence failures, goofs, etc.

But forgery is a deliberate act. It is INTENDED to deceive those who are shown the documents. There is no accident and mistake; the design is to present a falsehood to the public. The forged "Yellow Cake" documents are proof of an intent to lie to the public about the reasons for going to war in Iraq.

The Downing Street Memo/Minutes clearly states that "the case against saddam is weak" and we will try to goad him into attacking us by stepping up on the bombings of Iraq in August 2002, before any stated action against him. The memo states that George Bush "was determined" to attack Iraq long before going to Congress with the matter, and that "the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy." "Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD." The secret Downing Street memo - SECRET AND STRICTLY PERSONAL - UK EYES ONLY and .

The president was wrong about weapons of mass destruction; Iraq's threat to the United States; links between Saddam and al-Qaida; the reliability of Ahmed Chalabi; They will greet us with roses in the streets; that Iraqi oil would pay for the war; the number of troops required to provide stability; and that we would be greeted as liberators and "Mission Accomplished" and.....

In fact, the only thing that the president has been right about is the evil of Saddam Hussein. Did we need over 1,600 American casualties to figure that one out? Towards the end of 2003 and through 2004 the reason morphed to "America invaded Iraq to bring freedom and democracy to the Iraqi people." No we did not! We went there, supposedly, for the Original stated reasons of "45 minutes to a mushroom cloud" and "WMD" etc. Pay close attention to this link Iraq: The Words of Mass Deception for this is what the public was told. More lies here, Exposing those in Power - Office of Special Plans, Cooking Intelligence.

A database at House.gov, prepared at the direction of Rep. Henry A. Waxman, identifies 237 specific misleading statements, misleading statements - Backup Link about the threat posed by Iraq made by Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell and Condoleezza Rice in the time leading up to and after the commencement of hostilities in Iraq.

There is a report by Colonel Sam Gardiner (USAF, Ret.), November 2003, "Truth from These Podia" A 56-page investigation - Summary of a Study of Strategic Influence, Perception Management, Strategic Information Warfare and Strategic Psychological Operations in Gulf II. identifies more than 50 stories about the Iraq war that were faked by government propaganda artists in a covert campaign to "market" the military invasion of Iraq.

Never forget the constantly changing rationales for the Iraq war. In a stunning disarray of shiftiness we heard WMD, regime change, humanitarianism, threats to national security, Saddam was one bad dude, Iraqi democracy, fuzzy 9/11 links, Middle East democracy, the U.N.’s weakness, Iraq’s centrality in the front against terrorism... Where does it end?

Real reasons:

As you read these, reflect on the fact that it is a perfect "Shoo-in"--the pieces of this puzzle all fall into place.

  1. Peak Oil - the world is running out of oil and natural gas as worldwide demand increases. The Iraq Oil Crunch: Index Timeline, PNAC: Rebuilding America's Defenses - A Biopsy on Imperialism, "Iraq is swimming in oil" -- Wolfowitz - Iraq has 4 trillion dollars (July 2004) worth of resources, mineral and other - Cheney's plans to privatize the worlds oil, Iraq and the Problem of Peak Oil, IT'S ALL ABOUT OIL!. "Controlling Iraq is about oil as power, rather than oil as fuel," says Michael Klare, professor of peace and world security studies at Hampshire College and author of Resource Wars. "Control over the Persian Gulf translates into control over Europe, Japan, and China. It's having our hand on the spigot." The Thirty-Year Itch to control key resources, chief among them oil -- and especially Gulf oil. Just in, New reason for Iraq War - OIL and it's control - bush The failed mission to capture Iraqi oil, So Iraq Was About the Oil By Robert Parry.

In the past 14 decades, we've used up roughly half of all the oil that the planet has to offer. No, we're not about to run out of oil. But long before the oil runs out, it reaches its production peak. After that, extracting the remaining oil becomes considerably more difficult and expensive.

The supply is staying static while demand is increasing. India's requirements are expected to increase 15% a year while China's demand has increased 40-54% during 2004 alone. The Saudis' just announced that they were taking America off the "Top 5" prefered list and replacing us with China. Money Talks!. Thanks to NAFTA, GATT, WTO, CAFTA and the FTAA your leaders have sold you and your future down the road. Imports are up and jobs are down, the other countries get richer and more well-to-do thus requiring more energy. Everyone is buying a car in what were those poor countries.

Most of the world's oil is in the Middle East and while different oil regions will reach their production peaks at different times, the Middle East will peak last, underlying Cheney's point that the region is where "the prize ultimately lies." Whoever controls the big oil reserves of the Middle East will then be positioned to, pretty much, control the world.

In July 2003, the public interest group Judicial Watch finally secured some of the documents from Cheney's energy task force meetings. They contain the smoking gun: "a map of Iraqi oilfields, pipelines, refineries and terminals, as well as 2 charts detailing Iraqi oil and gas projects" and "Foreign Suitors for Iraqi Oilfield Contracts." The documents are dated March 2001, two years before Bush invaded Iraq.

So, now we have it that we were preparing two years in advance of our unprovoked attack on Iraq to go there and take control of their oil and we also have it that the first and only security we provided during the initial fighting in Iraq was for the oil fields and the Oil Ministry buildings. Everything else that might have been central to the establishment of a working democracy there was allowed to be destroyed and carted away by looters. There can be no clearer evidence other than actual admissions.

The Iraq war has contributed considerably to our current dilemma. The conflict has taken nearly one million barrels of Iraqi oil per day off line. In other words, the astronomical prices at the pump are the direct result of Bush's war. The media has failed to report on the negative affects on oil production, just as they have concealed the incredibly successful insurgent strategy of destroying pipelines. This isn't a storyline that plays well to the American public, who expected that Iraq would be paying for its own reconstruction by now. Instead, the resistance is striking back at the empire's Achilles heel (America's need for massive amounts of cheap oil) and its having a dramatic affect on the US economy.

Not to be forgotten is the 70's oil crisis that caused us all to cut back and saw high costs, at the time, of oil and derivative products. It is reported that there have been major oil discoveries in Alaska and off the coast of Mexico and Lousiana and elsewhere but the supply at this time is just not there so it could very well be a planned Big Squeeze to milk us for $$. Similarly Enron and other power companies deliberately starved the energy market in California during 2001 in order to drive up prices and profits. Additionally, to be considered, the Dollar has been devalued by 54% against the Euro since 2001 while at the start of the Iraq war Oil was $27 a barrel and just hit $58... Memos Show Oil Companies Closed Refineries To Hike Profits, Keeping Iraq's Oil In the Ground - Greg Palast Big Oil, whether in European or Arab-OPEC dress, has done its damned best to keep Iraq's oil buried deep in the ground to keep prices high in the air. Iraq has 74 known fields and only 15 in production; 526 known "structures" (oil-speak for "pools of oil"), only 125 drilled..

  2. Global Imperialistic worldwide domination. bush and others have stated that this will be a 100-year war - "a war that will not end in our lifetimes," only 60 countries to go. The options were laid out by Zbigniew Brzezinski in 1997 in his book "The Grand Chessboard" which was taken a step further by the group of neocons at the PNAC. All they needed was "A new Pearl Harbor" in order to get the American people behind it. Iraq was part of a larger plan to reshape the strategic contours of southwest Asia, from the Mediterranean to China, from Kazakhstan to the Arabian Sea. By lodging U.S. forces in the heart of this region, in Afghanistan and Iraq, the United States would be well positioned to launch future attacks on, say, Syria or Iran, should the president and his lieutenants decide to do so. Even without such further attacks, however, the Americans would be able to threaten credibly or to intimidate countries in the region to secure their compliance with U.S. demands.

  3. Iraq converted to the Euro in exchange for oil in Nov 2000 thus undermining US cash flow. This could not be allowed in light of the economic crisis that the US has been under. This was the ultimate icing on the cake. A few dozen Articles of Iraq switch to Euro, middleeastinfo.org/article4398.html similarly Iran is in the crosshairs next: Petrodollar Warfare: Dollars, Euros and the Upcoming Iranian Oil Bourse.

  4. To build 14 Military bases in Iraq - Geo-Political positioning strategy thus allowing the US to get out of Saudi Arabia, which was one of bin ladens complaints, including adding bases along the old pipeline to Haifa to protect oil transport through to Israel, Oil from Iraq : An Israeli pipedream?, Iraq-to-Haifa oil pipeline could spur economic rebirth.

By the way, since the start of the 2003 Iraq war, all oil flowing out of Iraq has not been metered. The metering devices were one of the first casualties of the war and had not yet been fixed through 04, lucky strike? How Much Iraqi Crude Oil is Being Stolen? Mystery of the Missing Meters. Nobody really knows how much crude oil is being stolen by corrupt corrupt Iraqi and U.S. officials because, four years after the invasion (may 07), the oil meters haven't been fixed. With Halliburton pumping the oil, it was revealed by the Inspector General’s report on the missing $9 billion, and highlighted by Galloway’s awesome testimony before the Senate in May 2005. "Have a look at the oil that you didn’t even meter, that you were shipping out of the country and selling, the proceeds of which went who knows where?" Gee, and oil prices have been at all time highs.. coincidence?

  5. To eliminate a threat to Israel. War Launched to Protect Israel - Bush Adviser, Iraq was invaded 'to protect Israel' - US official, Israel is the reason America is at war with Iraq, The Neocons' War, Gen. Zinni - "the neo-conservatives" push to war, 'Iraq was Invaded to Secure Israel,' says Senator Hollings, and 'Everybody Knows It.'

  6. To divert the world’s attention from the Israeli genocide and dispossession of the Palestinians by blaming the attacks on Muslims even though Robert Muller stated in April 02 that "the FBI has found NO EVIDENCE - no paper trail - to tie the 19 FBI-accused Hijackers with the 9/11 event.." In fact, the Bush administration has still never produced the white paper promised by Colin Powell in late 2001 proving bin Laden and al-Qaida were behind 9/11.

  7. To test out newly developed high-tech weapons in real world circumstances - same in any war. New nano-wave weapons that cook a mass of people skin deep, Sound cannons that are aimable with a very narrow yet highly concentrated and loud output to what is described as a horrible weapon out of a sci-fi movie where busses, trucks and people are melted to tiny smouldering masses. War also serves as an ongoing training exercise--real world.

  8. To show the world that we have military dominance and strength. Shock & Awe - The aim of modern warfare is not merely to achieve military victory but also a means of sheer intimidation, to inflict a deep psychological injury, to scare and terrorize potential rivals into submission. It is in effect a practical application of the Wolfowitz doctrine of global domination through force.

  9. To appease special interests -- important supporters of the Bush team would make tons of money: Halliburton, Bechtel, Chevron, Unocal, Shell, G.E., Lockheed and Dyncorp and the rest of the good old boys, in addition to the rest of the arms suppliers and the mercenaries -- to fleece the American public with an endless array of no-bid, cost plus, no questions asked contracts to enrich the conscienceless billionaires who are really driving the war machine thus paying them back for their massive campaign contributions. War profiteering - For some devious and diabolical reason most all war funding is funneled through the Carlyle group which then takes its cut for 'oversight functions'. This is a private corporation headed by none other than H.W. Bush. Seems to be some conflict of interest here in-addition to the cheney/halliburton connection. War Is A Racket - A Real American Hero- Major General Smedley Butler, USMC.

Looking at the stock pages: Haliburton, the oil services company, is up from 28.69 to 62 over the year. Exxon/Mobil is up from 45.09 to 64.37 over the year. Sunoco is up from 30.26 a year ago to 73.22. The list goes on and on. Senator says oil firms hiking prices, taking record profits.

Former CIA analyst, Ray McGovern said the Iraq war "has nothing to do with democracy or freedom or defending our way of life, it is to do with enriching the pockets of those who support this administration."

  10. To privatize Iraqi infrastructure thus granting foreign corporations a stranglehold on the Iraqi economy.

  11. To create a diversion to the massively failing economy, fraudulent election, corporate scandals and the in-progress raping and theft of America. As of 3-16-05 3.3 Trillion dollars are missing and un-accounted for from the pentagon, national debt of 7.26 trillion and much more. Right now the U.S. is borrowing $320 billion a year just to pay the interest on the national debt. (8 trillion x .04). When you find yourself borrowing just to pay the interest on your debt then you are bankrupt. If interest rates (and bond rates) rise one percent the government will need an additional $80 billion.

The U.S. is now sitting on 10 trillion dollars (Aug. 2005) of Iraqi oil. That's a conservative estimate using the figure of 200 billion barrels times $50 a barrel. Oil is now over $60 a barrel and the estimates of Iraqi reserves go as high as 300 billion barrels, which could mean that the U.S. is sitting on 18 trillion dollars of oil. That's more than the capitalization of all the companies on the New York Stock Exchange!

  12. By spending massive amounts of money to directly stimulate the severely faltering economy in the US. This accounted for the recent increase in the GDP by 4% (Dec. 2004).

  13. To get Saddam as revenge - "They tried to kill my daddy, I'm taking that mother f_____ out!" -- G.W. Bush.

  14. To install a new "strongman/puppet" in Iraq who can "hold the country together" and protect the imperial flank while America "projects its dominance" over the oil wealth and political life of the Middle East and Central Asia.

  15. To further enrage the Arab people against the Americans while creating thousands of new osama's such that they might then really strike out at us in the U.S. unlike the phony 911 "false flag" frame-up Currently and since the 911 strikes, the borders have been wide open with post 911 border patrol funding slashed by 40% thus allowing real terrorists to come in. Currently, at any point in time, there are only 1200 border patrol officers guarding 2000 miles of our south border. What a president! "Bring 'em on" he says. All increases in the so-called homeland security have been to tighten the noose around the general public and are red herrings just to portray the illusion of increased vigilance. The Abu Gharib abuses were not just a few individuals. The orders for that went all the way to the top (2 meg pdf from Mar 03) . The soldiers in question claim that they were told to do these things and to photograph, video tape and enjoy it, which they apparently have. I do not know about you or they but I have been fully aware of the Geneva Convention and it's rules against torture for many years let alone the in-humanity of it.

It seems to me that all military soldiers should be aware of the rules also, especially the dozen or so higher in the chain of command, else what good are they, yet it was condoned. The plan by the Globalists is to Use America to break America. The senseless killing of 32,000 - 100,000+ innocent Iraqis was enhanced by the mental brainwashing of our troops with a racist contempt: A trigger happiness and a readiness for revenge of the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. Many stating "kill them all, they struck us on 911." Now, you know that was not true but they were fooled by their military leaders, even more so than the 55-70% of the U.S. people that thought Saddam was involved with 911, thanks to the mainstream medias wanton failings and disinfo. Yet as of Feb 28, 06 Almost 90% of US soldiers in Iraq think war is retaliation for Saddam’s role in 9/11. Soldiers set-up to see the people, in the nation that they occupy, as somehow less than human - Think Abu Gahrib. Now think this, your local police departments recruit mostly all their forces from returning troops, those that have the kill and maim mentality in-grained into them. Just what they want for their thug-boot storm troopers gearing up for the police state as was seen in Seattle, Florida and now Boston and New York. For years there have been foreign troops training on U.S. soil and blatant disregard for the Posse Comitatus Act with Marines training for "crowd control" in West Virginia. This Act was approved by Congress on June 18, 1878 for the purpose rendering the use of federal troops for civilian law enforcement illegal. From the CATO Institute comes this briefing on Warrior Cops: The Ominous Growth of Paramilitarism in American Police Departments. We are an Empire In Descent: The Deliberate Destruction Of America.

  16. To weaken and emasculate our troops. The US had 600,000 troops in Iraq in the 91 war. 35% of them now have serious medical conditions from the DU and myriad of vaccines that they consumed. The US has so far left over 4,000,000 pounds of Depleted Uranium in Iraq just during the 2003 war. This is equal to the radiation in about 250,000 Nagasaki bombs and with a half life of 4.5 Billion years most all the soldiers (Now reported about 500,000 with the troop rotations so far) that are or have been in Iraq will be contaminated and bringing it home with them and up to 40% of a group of soldiers getting cancer just since 2003. Just think what we are doing to those that live there and the several other countries where DU has been used in the past 13 years, it is called genocide. Now we are having trouble keeping 130,000 in Iraq and that is with calling out the National Guard and Reserves leaving very few troops to guard the home front. There are currently 2 bills in the house and the senate to reinstate the draft and that will be for men and women 18 - 26 years of age, with variations to 38 and 49, "for military and other duties" - slave labor in other words. This will further cause major national dissension because there are many that realize some of the facts as stated above.

Yes, Bush is now committing the same war crime that he himself cites as the prime example of Saddam Hussein's bottomless evil: using chemical weapons against his own people.

And make no mistake: DU ammo is a chemical weapon of fearsome properties. After Daddy Bush dumped 300 tons of DU on Iraq in the first Gulf War, the Pentagon's own studies showed it to be an uncontrollable hazard, an indiscriminate tormentor of civilians and combatants alike. But the military brass love those malignancy-spawning munitions, which can cut through stone and steel like paper. So they ignored the studies, denounced their own experts -- and expanded the DU arsenal instead.

While insisting, without any field tests, that DU radiation is as safe as mother's milk -- assuming Mother hasn't been irradiated, of course -- the Pentagon conveniently ignores the indisputable chemical toxicity of the highly poisonous heavy metal. Medical scientists say that uranium has "an affinity for bonding with DNA, where even trace amounts can cause cancers and fetal abnormalities," ITT reports. Doctors conducting in-depth tests on National Guard troops now stumbling home from Little Bush's botch-up in Babylon are finding widespread symptoms of uranium poisoning, along with radiation-related deformities in the soldiers' children. Meanwhile, the ghastly effect that DU is having on civilians in Iraq -- where treatment is nonexistent in the ruins of the health care system that Bush's war has destroyed -- can scarcely be imagined.

But apart from a few honorable exceptions -- such as the "downmarket" New York Daily News, which has provided medical help for the poisoned Guard troops shunted aside by the Pentagon -- the major U.S. media have maintained a craven silence about this ongoing atrocity.

This is called a "Shoo-in" to the Pnac and neocons. PNAC.info - Exposing the Project for the New American Century

Bush Admin Warned Before the War, Its Iraq Claims were Seriously Flawed. The facts are in, there is no valid reason to be in Iraq nor was there any valid reason to be in Afghanistan. The reasons for that mistake were similar to that of the Iraq venture. Primarily to establish military bases along the route for the, currently in-construction, pipeline from the Caspian sea and to increase and control production of the poppy crops in addition to all the standard reasons for war.

They have sent many of our best young people into harms way and death based on their many lies. Both invasions were planned prior to 9/11, in fact two U.S. carrier battle groups arrived in the Gulf of Arabia prior to 9/11. Similarly the USA Patriot Act, and its' destruction of our privacy and constitutional rights, was written prior to 9/11. There are many more unanswered questions that need to be asked.

If you cannot trust the president of the United States to tell the truth then just how many other things have we been told that are not the truth? Start with 9/11 and you know that deep down there is something very wrong with the story they are giving.

The Bush administration has still never produced the white paper promised by Colin Powell in late 2001 proving bin Laden and al-Qaida were behind 9/11. FLASHBACK: US rejects Taliban bin Laden evidence calls The White House has rejected requests from Afghanistan's ruling Taliban for proof that Osama bin Laden was responsible for last week's attacks. According to the US Secretary of State, Colin Powell, the United States has enough evidence to try bin Laden in an American court. According to the US Secretary of State, Colin Powell, Saddam had weapons of mass destruction too. The fact is that the only evidence that Osama had anything to do with 9/11 was exposed as fake. This is something that seems to have fallen thru the memory hole for most all people which allows them to build lie upon lie. What a tangled web they weave, and they have been practicing.

FBI Director Robert Mueller stated that "after 7 months of investigation, the FBI had no evidence -- and no paper trail -- tying the accused 19 hijackers to the 9/11 terror attacks."

Remember, the IDs of the 9-11 hijackers are based on passports, passports which the FBI already publicly stated were fakes using names stolen from arab men.

In addition 7-9 of the 19 purported hijackers are still alive, with none of their names on the flight manifests and no Arab Dna found in any of the bodies from the pentagon flight (they claim that they identified 100% of the passengers) therefore how can they follow a trail if they have no idea who to follow? We don't know who was on those planes, only who we were supposed to THINK were on those planes . Now they are trying to build up a case against Iran stating that "8 of the hijackers traveled through Iran prior to 9/11." Wait a minute, how can they track anyone if they have no idea who they are tracking. They are hoping that you will not remember the facts. Hey! That invasion of Afghanistan was based on real solid evidence tying the 19 accused mostly Saudi Hijackers through Al Qaeda to the 9/11 terror attacks – wasn’t it???????

Just like in the 9/11 whitewash commission report , all 585 pages and 20 months, where they are still talking about those originally claimed 19 hijackers along with their original pictures, you know they are not getting to the truth and just building upon lies. Many pages of Grisham quality suspense albeit verbose fluff based on certain assumptions that are just not viable. They are just re-arranging deck chairs on the Titannic. First prove that there were hijackers, just like the absent proof of osama, and whom they really were. Show us all the confiscated video tapes of the Pentagon strike. Release the black boxes and all air traffic and other tape recordings in addition to everything else that has been held back from public scrutiny, for instance the Cheney energy meetings. The integrity of the so-called "independent" 9/11 commission is compromised by, among other things, the connections of its staff and key members to the globalist Council on Foreign Relations, the White House, and domestic and foreign intelligence agencies. What do they have to hide? plenty to be sure.. There are certain whistle-blowers still trying to get suppressed information out to the public, they have all been gagged and there are many others that are afraid to come forward. See this latest request from FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds To Thomas Kean – Chairman Of The 9/11 Commission. There are many more Unanswered Questions that require your attention in order to get to the bottom of this 9/11 thing.

9/11, contrary to the 9/11 Commission supposedly investigating the events leading up to that day, was an inside job. No amount of confusion, lack of communication, inter-agency turf wars or "intelligence failures" or 9/11 Commission obfuscation can explain away the fact the whole U.S. civilian and military defense apparatus failed to do its job, which was to protect the skies over North America.

No one has asked how four commercial airplanes could deviate from their assigned flight plans and in the process fly in close proximity to at least 40 military installations that had Navy, Air Force or Air National Guard fighters available, and no action was taken! Any thinking person would have to conclude the only possible reasons are gross malfeasance/dereliction of duty, a military standdown order or treason at the highest levels of government!

9/11 allowed the plutocratic ruling elites to refashion America on the heals of the totally bogus "War on Terrorism" by passing PATRIOT Act I and II embarking on pre-emptive global war. And now, according the mainstream corporate media, they are contemplating postponing or canceling the 2004 presidential elections.

Let us never be sent to war without all the facts laid out before us and all the tough questions asked and answered. You have listened to all the wrong voices, the mainstream media has failed you and democracy. They have led most of this country astray by their spin, lies, distractions and blatant omissions. Fox has been "OutFoxed" and "Orwell Rolls in his Grave" as you will see in the new documentarys about the media. Fahrenheit 9/11 was just a start having covered only a few percent of what really happened while everyone slept because the "News" did not report the news like it happened. Too many were afraid of losing their jobs when the word went out: "Now hear this. If you value your job and pension, do not, repeat, do not contradict the boss. The president is hell-bent on invading Iraq. Make it so."

Bush & Co. used misinformation and deceit to hoodwink the Congress and the nation into supporting the invasion of Iraq under false pretenses and in violation of the United Nations Treaty we signed.

Our armed forces are now mired in a no-win occupation that has killed more than 900 er 1800+, wow it is now 3683 troops and some 50,000 wounded leaving them scarred and maimed for life plus over 1100 civilian contractors dead. Those that live through this travesty will return to find their veterans’ benefits cut and their medical care drastically curtailed.

The occupation and Bush’s brainless challenge to "Bring 'em on" have turned Iraq from a secular dictatorship into a breeding ground for Islamic fundamentalist terror organizations and inspired the birth of similar groups around the world. His face is an unwitting recruiting poster for Al Qaeda.

We have lost the respect of long-time allies throughout the world and created an intense enmity among those who have become our enemies.

America and the world are not safer but in far more danger than before the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

A database at House.gov, prepared at the direction of Rep. Henry A. Waxman, identifies 237 specific misleading statements - original now restricted, misleading statements, misleading statements - Backup Link about the threat posed by Iraq made by Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell and Condoleezza Rice in the time leading up to and after the commencement of hostilities in Iraq. These statements were made in 125 separate appearances, consisting of 40 speeches 26 press conferences and briefings, 53 interviews 4 written statements and 2 congressional testimonies. Most of the statements in the database were misleading because they expressed certainty where none existed or failed to acknowledge the doubts of intelligence officials.

Breaking news: It looks like the Bush admin is trying to rewrite history. Last night on O'Reilly vs Michael Moore on Fox, O'Reilly brought up that Russian President Vladimir Putin tried to warn Bush that Iraq had WMD just after 9/11. This was to promote the lie that "everyone was fooled" therefore Bush did not lie. Everyone was not fooled, only those that were not looking at alternative news were. This took me by surprise because I did not catch that news blurb and knowing that Putin had all the time since 9/11 been mocking Bush doubting there were any WMD in Iraq. So I checked and prior to 6-18-04 there appears to be no articles supporting a Putin warning however you will find many where he rips into any WMD claims made by the Bush admin. It appears that during the G8 meeting around June 9, 2004 an "understanding" was made and Putin is somehow now making a claim that never happened for there is no public record of it.
5-9-03 Vladimir Putin of Russia openly mocked Tony Blair about the dramatically unconfirmed claims by "coalition" members that Iraq possessed WMD that posed a threat to the world.
8-21-03 On March 20, Putin denounced the U.S.-led "aggression" against Iraq as "unwarranted" and "unjustifiable."
6-18-04 The first article on the warning
6-19-04 second article on warning
Reminds one of the incident in "Wag The Dog" when a newly composed song was inserted into the Library of Congress records to give the impression it had been written decades earlier; then the song, "Old Shoe," was conveniently "discovered" and popularized at the right time. Rent "Wag The Dog" at your local video store and watch it happen.

Manipulation or deliberate misuse of national security intelligence data, if proven, would be "a high crime" under the Constitution's impeachment clause. Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution provides: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Democracy can not work properly if people can not trust their elected representatives. One last thing, The United States began its occupation of Germany and Japan sixty years ago, yet large U.S. military bases remain in those countries today. Does anyone really believe the Americans will walk away from their mega-bases in Iraq just because the Iraqis want the Yankees to go home? It is a certain fact that we will not be entirely leaving Iraq ever. At the best we may tone it down to 60,000 troops but they do not build permanent military bases for nothing.

Some wisdom from Jim Kirwan:
The administration has used fear far and wide, to keep the patriotic faithful glued to the idea that we are being threatened. The government says that evil people are out there and are a huge and powerful enemy that would destroy us utterly, if given half a chance. At the same time, the administration is increasing the number of those who hate us, by the actions that we chose to engage in on the ground in an occupied country without an army of its own. We are invaders and occupiers by any standard, yet we still condemn the Iraqi’s who dare to resist our openly fascistic brutality.

The facts show that most of those rounded up and imprisoned, are guilty of nothing at all. When finally released, many become ardent enemies of the USA, regardless of our excuses for their treatment. We have stirred an already boiling brew in the Middle East, and made a difficult region much more toxic and disembodied in the wake of our invasion. And since the final excuse that Bush gave the world for being there was that "we are going to bring peace and stability to the region, and freedom and democracy to the Iraqi people." Those two goals fell unnoticed in the desert sands along with all our promise to liberate the Iraqi people.

Now we’re making noises about widening the war to Iran or Syria, maybe Lebanon – who knows. How is that behavior in any way contributing to stability or the welfare of Americans in an already troubled world? Bush keeps saying that the world is safer – but we broke international law and attacked a nation that did not threaten us. Do you feel safer since Bush took office?

"A 'machiavellian' mass society valuing wealth-aquisition and
typified by exploitative relations must, inevitably, be a
violent society, using force to protect the 'haves' and the
'hope to haves' from the 'have nots' and outsiders. Such a
society will destroy itself because its greed will cause it to
consume its own resources and even its own people. No
self-restraints can effectively be imposed because the
society's very nature, its internal dynamic, is to consume.
Its voracious appetite will cause it to literally eat itself.
When sufficiently weakened, other similar social monsters will
 finish it off—if anything remains."
 -- Jack D. Forbes

"Americans cannot escape a certain responsibility for what is
done in our name around the world. In a democracy, even one as
corrupted as ours, ultimate authority rests with the people.
We empower the government with our votes, finance it with our
taxes, bolster it with our silent acquiescence. If we are
passive in the face of America's official actions overseas, we
 in effect endorse them."

"Just as the Pentagons lucrative Vietnam War was being revved
into high gear, establishment braintrusters confirmed that
perpetual war is absolutely vital for controlling and
manipulating the masses. The document even suggested a number
of options for creating fictitious enemies, noting that
perpetual war induces populations to give blind allegiance to
 political authority."
-- The Report from Iron Mountain published in 1967,

"Beware of the leader who bangs of war in order to whip the
citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a
doubleedged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it
 narrows the mind.

And when the drums of war have reached a fevor pitch and the
blood boils with hate and the mind is closed, the leader will
have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather,
the citizenry infused with fear and blinded by patriotism,
will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and do it
 gladly so.

How do I know? I know for this is what I have done. And I am

 -- Julius Caesar

"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can
shield the people from the political, economic and/or military
consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for
the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the
truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension,
the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State."
-- Joseph Goebbels, Reich Minister of Propaganda 1933-1945

"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor
slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he
can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece?
Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia,
nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is
understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country
who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to
drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist
dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.
Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the
bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is
tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers
for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.
It works the same in any country."
