The UN knew Iraq did not have WMDs.
The CIA knew Iraq did not have WMDs.
Scott Ritter knew Iraq did not have WMDs.
Dr David Kelly knew Iraq did not have WMDs.
Charles Duelfer knew Iraq did not have WMDs.
George Galloway knew Iraq did not have WMDs.
Now we all know it and the US stopped looking.
To stampede us into a war neoconservatives had been plotting for a decade, Douglas Feith, the Pentagon's No. 3, set up an
Office of Special Plans (OSP), the office lying at the heart of the latest Israeli spy scandal. Its role: Cherry-pick the intel
that Saddam was acquiring weapons of mass destruction and was hell-bent on using them on the United States. Then, stove-pipe
the hot stuff to the White House Iraq Group
(WHIG) and ignore the contradictory evidence.
Recently, the belated expressions of shock and outrage over phony intelligence from the likes of Reid are, to put it mildly,
disingenuous. It was well known in Washington that the Bush administration was preparing a war against Iraq from the
moment it entered office in 2001, nine months before the September 11 terrorist attacks gave it the pretext it needed
for military aggression.
Whatever their tactical differences over how this war was to be prepared, the predominant sections of the American
ruling establishment—Democratic and Republican alike—embraced the strategy of invading and occupying Iraq with the aim
of seizing control of Iraq’s vast oil reserves and establishing US hegemony in a vitally strategic region.
Within the ruling elite, using US military power as a means of asserting the dominance of American capitalism and
offsetting its relative decline on the world market was a consensus policy. Among the masses of working people, however,
there was intense opposition to war. The lies about weapons of mass destruction were aimed at terrorizing the American
people into accepting an invasion.
This was well understood by leaders of both major parties. The war did not come out of the blue, but represented the
culmination of a policy of aggression against Iraq that had been escalating over the course of a decade. It no more
involved deceiving the leaders of the Senate than it did Bush basing himself on false intelligence.
The war was launched in full confidence that Iraq was essentially defenseless, possessing neither weapons of mass
destruction nor a military capable of resisting US "shock and awe." It was, in clear legal terms, a war of aggression—a
war crime under the precedents set by the Nuremberg trial of the former leaders of Germany’s Third Reich.
In this crime, which has claimed the lives of over 100,000 1 MILLION Iraqi civilians and more than 2,000 3,800 US soldiers, the
Democratic Senate leaders who supported the war—and still support it—are culpable as well as the Republican leaders.
The long delay in the report from the Senate Intelligence Committee is attributable, at least in part, to the
complicity of the Democrats in the Iraq war. The Senate Democrats agreed to the Republicans’ proposal to postpone
until after the presidential election any investigation into the administration’s use of phony intelligence to
promote the war. That was the 2006 election and Pelosi caved in for the War Profiteering or. . . You tell me..
This rotten deal was part and parcel of the Democratic Party’s commitment to preventing the election from being
turned into a referendum on the most burning political issue facing the American people — the illegal war in Iraq.
The Democrats condemn the administration for launching a war based upon lies, but vow to continue the war until "victory,"
with some like Reid and Hillary even proposing to increase the number of US occupation troops in spite of the fact that a
solid majority of the American people wants the war in Iraq ended. Hell, they even vow to NUKE Iran for false and malicious reasons.
The same pretensious reasons are being used all over again and the mostly blind and ignorant American public is being taken for fools again.
Indeed, nearly all of the Dems and Reps for the 08 race vow to continue these atrocities going on in your name except for a very few like Ron Paul,
the only Republican in the gop race that stands firm on Constitutional values and the absolute need to stop these wars of aggression.
Where the hell is the tar and feathers -- the outrage against this despotic and criminal government?
On February 15, 2003, anti-war rallies took place across the globe – the largest occurring in Rome, Italy, where a
crowd of 3 million gathered to protest against the USA’s threat to invade Iraq. Police figures report that millions
more demonstrated in nearly 600 cities worldwide: on the same day, 1.3 million rallied in Barcelona, Spain, 1 million
participated in a peace march through the streets of London, UK, and 500,00 people in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia,
joined the biggest marches since the Vietnam War peace protests.
Global protests against war on Iraq: People around the world demonstrate against the planning of war against Iraq. In Rome
one million people take to the streets, in London one million. In Berlin there is half a million in the largest demonstration
for some decades. There are also protest marches all over France as well as in many other smaller European cities. Protests
are also held in South Africa, Syria, India, Russia, Canada and in the USA, in around 600 cities in total.
The 2003 invasion and war in Iraq prompted much popular opposition. Between 2002 and 2005, protests against the Iraq war
were held in many cities worldwide, often coordinated to occur simultaneously around the world. After the biggest series
of demonstrations, on February 15, 2003, New York Times writer Patrick Tyler claimed that they showed that there were two
superpowers on the planet, the United States and worldwide public opinion.
The demonstrations were mainly organized by anti-war groups, many of whom had been formed in opposition to the invasion of
Afghanistan, though in some Arab countries demonstrations were organized by the State. Europe saw the biggest mobilization
of protesters, including a rally of 3 million people in Rome, Italy which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the
largest ever anti-war rally.

Remember the Million people marches in London and across the U.S. against the war prior to it.
It is time to face the facts; the people of the United States were lied to in order to send their young men off to a
war.
There were no WMDs. Saddam is in jail, even though he was NOT helping Al Qaeda nor did he have anything to do with 9-11.
The Iranians gassed the Kurds, not Iraq. The people of Iraq do not want the US in their country any more.
WHY ARE OUR KIDS STILL BEING CRIPPLED AND KILLED IN IRAQ IN THIS ILLEGAL WAR?
Better think this one through. Bush coveted the oil wealth of Iraq. In order to get that wealth Bush bore
false witness to We The People, the Congress, and the world-- Lies all of it. Bush then stole that wealth, and killed a lot
of people in the process. And by claiming that God told him to do all that Bush took the Lord's name in vain,
I think. So, he's batting 500 in terms of breaking the Ten Commandments, and all who support him are accessories to the crime.
Let us not forget Bush Planned Iraq 'Regime Change' Before Becoming President. Note that it is not literally oil rather it is
the control of that commodity.
The group of neocons belonging to Project for the New American Century (PNAC) drew up a secret blueprint for US global
domination reveals that President Bush and his cabinet were planning a premeditated attack on Iraq to secure 'regime
change' even before he took power in January 2001.
The blueprint, uncovered by the Sunday Herald, for the creation of a 'global Pax Americana' was drawn up for Dick Cheney
(now vice- president), Donald Rumsfeld (defence secretary), Paul Wolfowitz (Rumsfeld's deputy), George W Bush's younger
brother Jeb and Lewis Libby (Cheney's chief of staff). The document,
entitled Rebuilding America's Defences: Strategies, Forces And Resources For A New Century, was written in September
2000 by the neo-conservative think-tank Project for the New American Century (PNAC).
The plan shows Bush's cabinet intended to take military control of the Gulf region whether or not Saddam Hussein was in
power. It says: 'The United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While
the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force
presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein.'
The PNAC document supports a 'blueprint for maintaining global US pre-eminence, precluding the rise of a great power
rival, and shaping the international security order in line with American principles and interests'.
This 'American grand strategy' must be advanced for 'as far into the future as possible', the report says. It also calls
for the US to 'fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theatre wars' as a 'core mission'.
The report describes American armed forces abroad as 'the cavalry on the new American frontier'. The PNAC blueprint
supports an earlier document written by Wolfowitz and Libby that said the US must 'discourage advanced industrial
nations from challenging our leadership or even aspiring to a larger regional or global role'.
The PNAC report also:
refers to key allies such as the UK as 'the most effective and efficient means of exercising American global leadership';
describes peace-keeping missions as 'demanding American political leadership rather than that of the United Nations';
reveals worries in the administration that Europe could rival the USA;
says 'even should Saddam pass from the scene' bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will remain permanently -- despite
domestic opposition in the Gulf regimes to the stationing of US troops -- as 'Iran may well prove as large a threat to
US interests as Iraq has';
spotlights China for 'regime change' saying 'it is time to increase the presence of American forces in southeast Asia'.
This, it says, may lead to 'American and allied power providing the spur to the process of democratisation in China';
calls for the creation of 'US Space Forces', to dominate space, and the total control of cyberspace to prevent
'enemies' using the internet against the US;
hints that, despite threatening war against Iraq for developing weapons of mass destruction, the US may consider
developing biological weapons -- which the nation has banned -- in decades to come. It says: 'New methods of attack --
electronic, 'non-lethal', biological -- will be more widely available ... combat likely will take place in new
dimensions, in space, cyberspace, and perhaps the world of microbes ... advanced forms of biological warfare that can
'target' specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool';
and pinpoints North Korea, Libya, Syria and Iran as dangerous regimes and says their existence justifies the creation
of a 'world-wide command-and-control system'.
Tam Dalyell, the Labour MP, father of the House of Commons and one of the leading rebel voices against war with Iraq,
said: 'This is garbage from right-wing think-tanks stuffed with chicken-hawks -- men who have never seen the horror of
war but are in love with the idea of war. Men like Cheney, who were draft-dodgers in the Vietnam war.
'This is a blueprint for US world domination -- a new world order of their making. These are the thought processes of
fantasist Americans who want to control the world. I am appalled that a British Labour Prime Minister should have got
into bed with a crew which has this moral standing.'
Iraq, a nation that would never have invaded us. Everyone, even the Bushists who manufactured the war from whole cloth,
admits that Iraq never had weapons that could hurt us or means to hit us with them if they had. And we know that they
didn't attack us--not on 9/11, not ever. Our soldiers may be doing their duty, fighting fiercely, and giving their lives
in the bargain. But since Iraq neither threatens our freedom nor our borders, they're neither protecting our freedoms or
fighting for America. The best anyone can say is that they're fighting for our country's geopolitical interests--and
what those are is subject to interpretation.
It is amazing that only a short time ago the Bush administration and its supporters believed that all the U.S. had to do
was to appear in Iraq and we would be greeted with flowers. Has there ever been a greater example of delusion?
Delusion is still the defining characteristic of the Bush administration. We have smashed Fallujah, a city of 300,000,
only to discover that the 10,000 U.S. Marines are bogged down in the ruins of the city. If the Marines leave, the
"defeated" insurgents will return. Meanwhile, the insurgents have moved on to destabilize Mosul, a city five times as
large. Thus, the call for more U.S. troops.
In April, May and June 2005, the U.S. military suffered 210 dead, with 1,526 maimed. What, exactly, is getting better?
There are no more troops. Our former allies are not going to send troops. The only way the Bush administration can
continue with its Iraq policy is to reinstate the draft.
When the draft is reinstated, conservatives will loudly proclaim their pride that their sons, fathers, husbands, and
brothers are going to die for "our freedom." Not a single one of them will be able to explain why destroying Iraqi
cities and occupying the ruins are necessary for "our freedom." But this inability will not lessen the enthusiasm for
the project. To protect their delusions from "reality-based" critics, they will demand that the critics be arrested for
treason and silenced. Many encouraged by talk radio already speak this way.
The day before 9/11 and the day after are two different worlds, – as much as two days divided by a cataclysmic event
could be – never again to interconnect in the sands of time and the order of human civilization. A paradigm shift that
altered the future course of humanity befell the world, and a way of life that dissolves more and more with each passing
day is eroding. For a few, it was the miracle welcoming in a new Pearl Harbor from which to mobilize the masses to their
lunatic world vision. For others, it was the manna from heaven needed to help justify in the populace’s minds the
pre-ordained invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq for oil profits and corporatist power. For the majority of us, 9/11 and
its aftermath continues to lead us towards a police state and undemocratic despotism at home, fear and insecurity in the
world, and perpetual war in our daily existence.
America has been transformed for the worse, with only a few elite basking in the splendor of their long-sought reality.
Millions continue to be plagued by trance-like ignorance, like bobble-head dolls agreeing with every dictate their
masters command. Warmongers and greed addicts have found their habitat; profiteers are being enriched by our stolen
treasure; other nations prosper at our ill-conceived wars.
Soon more wars will follow, along with a draft that will rob Americans of their children, sent to fight delusional wars
for profit-making and power-grabbing crusades, sacrificed in body and mind for the continued expansion of greed and the
Almighty Dollar. The world no longer seems safe; the post 9/11 world has been hijacked by fundamentalist extremists in
America and beyond, taken over by a small cabal of zealots and corporatists doing with us and the planet as they wish,
pitting poor versus poor, caste versus caste and religion against religion in wars which only those in power benefit
from.
Just as we breathe, our futures are being stolen from us and our children. Just as our heart beats, our morality is
being eroded from under us. Just as we live, so our complicity in mass murder is becoming a reality. Three-hundred
million Americans have become complacent witnesses to terrorism done in our name, yet nothing is done to bring justice
to the world, nothing is done to put an end to madness, nothing is done to halt the crimes of our leaders.
There is a report by Colonel Sam Gardiner (USAF, Ret.), November 2003, "Truth from These Podia" A 56-page investigation - Summary of a Study of Strategic Influence,

"If any question why we died, Tell them, because our fathers lied."
-- Rudyard Kipling
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."
-- Hermann Goering, President of the Reichstag,
Nazi Party, and Luftwaffe Commander in Chief,
from Gilbert, G.M. (1947). Nurenberg Diary, New York: Signet
What makes this all the more tragic is that each soldier died senselessly for these little mens grand ideas of empire
and imperialistic domination in the "War that will not end in our lifetimes." Perpetual war for perpetual profit.
Do note that you will not find these images on your television nor mainstream media very much if ever and that the
fearless leader has never attended a single one of their funerals.
